Perhaps this post will be better received than the previous one...
Tears to Tiara, another Leaf SRPG ('another' being a reference to Utawarerumono, otherwise known as Under Water Ray Romano *cough*) now has an English localisation project!
The group page can be visited here. They're still looking for some staff members (check the 'Looking For' panel on the right, and hop onto IRC if you know what it is. If you don't... well... maybe I'll post a walkthrough. If someone asks nicely enough. :P But the amount of effort you take to ask could probably be better expended in Googling for an existing walkthrough, which'll most likely be far more polished than anything I could write... Due personal reasons I have to retire from the site for now. That means no news, updates and support from me. I'm not sure when I'll be available again, but for at least one week I won't be around.

MangaGamer, critisized for their average translations, is working hard on improving things. Not only does their latest release Which girl should I choose? contain a higher quality script, but they also released a patch for the named title which can be downloaded on the My Account page.

The Nitro+ / 5pb game, Chäos;Head game will get a TV animation adaptation. The game has sold very well according to 5pb and both producers decided it an anime is worth those sale numbers (sale numbers unknown). For the moment only the anime's official website has been launched containing a few hidden character production sketches (I found 3 so far). The anime is set to air fall 2008.

The demo of Aoishiro - a yuri game, or so I've been lead to believe *rolls eyes* - has been translated, and the patch and links to the demo can be found here.

The official website for the Umineko no naku koro ni anime just went online. Besides some info on a CD release on the upcomming Comiket there isn't much information though. As far as I get from the second line there'll be an anime shop opening at the 29th August 2008. But there'll be definitely much more to report about soon - so stay tuned~

I mentioned already, that the download section has to wait due my exam preperations. However there's one thing which keeps bothering me, so I finaly want to discuss it with you.
As you all know, I've originaly planned to offer all downloads for direct download via a root server. The problem I have here is, that I'm not really sure, how many people will download the Japanese stuff like demos. My prediction: VERY less (we are an English speaking community after all). Now you may wonder where's the point in this. It's very simple: The costs. I pay all the server fees out of my pocket, and I just don't see a reason to rent a root server for just like 10 people downloading Japanese stuff, that's just nonsense. Now I don't plan to save money, but instead of renting a root server I could get a very fast managed webspace for that money. It'd still offer more than enough space for all the English files, not to forget the website's speed would increase drasticaly. And as for the whole rest I'd use two filresharing services for hosting: Rapidshare and Uploaded.to
Both services are completely different in what they offer, but both have good speed and I'd offer each file on both services - which would cut the waiting time.
I've started a poll, but besides I'd like to hear your opinion on this matter in the form of a comment. Thank you.

Those of you who enjoyed Clannad are probably waiting for the after story to air. The after story is about the true ending of the game (at the end of the anime Tomoya and Nagisa just started with their relationship). Now the latest DVD was published with a Tomoyo extra chapter. In this episode Tomoya is together with Tomoyo instead of Nagisa. I found it quite sweet (Tomoyo is my favourite character anyways :P) and I recommend it to all Clannad fans. Random Curiosity already made a detailed summary on this extra episode. Btw, the after story is scheduled for fall this year, if Moon Phase is right that is.

Visual Arts, distributer for companies like KEY, has open an official YouTube channel. Besides all the game videos from companies like KEY or Ocelot the nice thing is, that many videos are available in high quality. There are also plenty special broadcasting videos online. MoonPhase reports that Umineko no Naku Koro ni as well as White Album will get an anime.
Whereas there isn't much information about Umineko, there is a lot about White Album. The official site is online and the anime is scheduled for January 2009.
