I downloaded the game from this site:

and I got the patch from where it tells you to, right below:

But for some strange reason it doesn't work when the patch is dragged into the game's folder. However, oddly enough, a seemingly older version of the game, which I recall downloading from VisualNews, works with the patch. Any idea why that might be? Logically, it would make sense that the patch only works with the older version of the game, but the info on this site makes it seem as if it would work with the newer version (the one the download link automatically connects you to).

Indeed, the patch seems only to work with version 1.00, odd..
I'll try to find version 1.00 in the net. I wonder a bit, I'm pretty sure I downloaded the version we host from VisualNews back then..
I never tested the patch on the game version we host since I was assuming it would work with it as well. Seems I was wrong there~
Moreover version 1.01 was released only one day after version 1.00, so funny enough the patch wasn't written for that version.
Edit: Can't find the version 1.00 for download, therefore I emailed Zalas, he's given as contact in the patch readme. Will let you know immediately once I know more.
